The 5^th Executive Committee meeting was held on 10 September (Wednesday) 2025 at BWHC’s Conference room at 11:00 am. Ms. Jahanara Sadeque, the Chairperson of BWHC chaired the meeting. All the members of the Executive Committee except Prof. Dr. Rowshan Ara Begum attended the meeting on time. Along with the Vice-Chairperson Mr. Kazi Ali Reza, the Treasurer Ms. Qumrun Nahar and the other members i.e. Ms. Rayhana Begum, Ms. Munima Sultana and Ms. Maleka Begum joined the meeting. Mr. Sharif Mostafa Helal, the Executive Director & Member Secretary of EC also participated the meeting and updated the board on BWHC’s programs and activities. The main agenda/s of this meeting were:

01. Approval of last EC meeting minutes;

02. Updates on decisions of last EC meeting;

03. Updates on existing programs and activities;

04. Review of BWHC Programs and Compliance issues

After thorough agenda-wise discussion, the board gave a few important suggestions and decisions which included approval of two new projects which were recently awarded 1. Reduction of Health Sufferings of Older People in Flood Affected Areas of Feni district in Bangladesh funded by HelpAge International and 2. Support for Strengthening Civil Society Programme funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) through HelpAge International. In addition, the meeting gave approval for payment of BWHC Holding Tax along with the processing fees and also establishment of a new center in Sylhet Urban Area (in Shah Poran area).

A tentative date of next EC meeting has been scheduled in the last week of October or early November 2025.
